Over the last two weeks I have been working on the general frame/muscle structure and position of the dragon. It has been a little difficult to get the feet in the right postion but I feel like I have managed to get there.
On Wednesday Simon told me to get a base for it, which would have helped me in the long run had I listened to him or my time plan (which told me I was supposed to measure it/cut it out a week ago). However, I wanted to focus on the actual creature and postponing it allowed me to see how animals/dinosaurs are displayed in museums. This further helped me determine size and shape of the base in relation to my creature. (see pictures on A Fantastic Beast page). This research added to the research I had done previously of big cats and their anatomy enabled me to try and get a more 'natural' looking creature, despite the fact that it is inherently a mythological creature.
Speaking of my schedule, I am now on schedule as opposed to being a week ahead. This makes me feel more productive as I can actually follow it, day by day, to see if I have acheived what I set out for myself each day.
