When it comes to time organisation, I feel that it went well, especially in the last couple of weeks as we had to write down our time line and try to follow it in order to make sure that we'd finish in time for the class project review. I really enjoyed working with latex but kept forgetting how long it takes for it to dry. When I did use latex I would to it at the end of the day so that I could use it the following morning.

Another favourite material would also be Super Sculpey. Although hard to use at first it's a nice material to work with, even more so when creating characters. It also really helped bulk up my spot welded goggles. I enjoyed spot welding as well but it was difficult to use when it came to getting the right sizes. As I am not proficient in spot welding, I found it hard to do things precisely. I also did not use much wood for this project except for the lolly sticks which splintered and broke. So I was not huge fan.

In terms of context, my final out is a pair of steampunk goggles created for a steampunk character who is in her mid-late 20s. She lives in a post-apocalyptic Victorian Era London. These goggles would provide protection against dirty/dust/debris. In this case my role would be as designer or artist.

I feel as though I have communicated my ideas quite well through sketches and pictures, but feel as though I could have done better by doing a photoshoot in costume. Which I might to next term when I have more time.

My main weakness is still research as I always wait till its too late. I also never seem to do enough. But now that I know that research can involve anything and everything - from artists to materials (& tools)/places / films / existing products / etc - I plan to do more extensive research in the future.

I have also been using my independent study time more wisely as I have been doing more sketches and research during these days.
