One of the major differences I noticed between the first and second projects was that art (compared to media) was a lot more open to the creative process. This was because it was mostly process led rather then idea led, which I enjoyed to an extent.
I think one of the main connections/themes between my works are the 3D aspects and my use of new as well as familiar materials such as mod-rock and glue guns. I have found that no matter what project I am working on, I tend to gravitate towards making it 3D and or tactile.
Throughout these last few weeks I believe I have
In terms of materials, I could use a wider range, or at least make more sketches and develop my ideas a bit more before getting into the process of actually creating my final piece. I believe this to be the case because I have almost always used watercolour, with the exception of some of my final pieces for the IB.
I feel as though I have always been open to different ideas and approaches as well as changes my projects could take, however sometimes its a case of remembering to actually physically explore those ideas as opposed to just writing them down, which I have found to be a problem I need to fix ASAP as this could help me develop my ideas further.
After presenting my work to others, I realised that I should be more open with showing others my sketch book and my processes. I should also be more clear when explaining my ideas.
Next week, I plan to focus more on research, at leat more than I have in previous projects, as this should help me with developing my own work and seeing what already exists.
