Evaluation and Reflection 3

I quite enjoyed the broadness of the first project brief (to an extent), however, I feel as though I may not be on the right track as I have found it to be a bit too broad. The media project brief was

I think I probably could have used my time better this week, but I have found time outside of the sessions to experiment with ideas for the brief. For example I used my time to experiment with materials I was new to, such as polaroids and the dissection thereof.

A new material and practical approach I tried was experimenting with different materials on Polaroids like scratching, scoring and general mark making. Also dissecting a polaroid film and using some of the ink and the filter.

So far, I have made annotations and notes on the lectures and sessions we have had, for example when it came to new techniques such as photoshop or Premiere. Based on the last tutorial I have also tried to keep up with my evaluations as I went along.

Some of the others were encouraging when it came to a film idea, using some found photos in my camera roll as inspiration. However, I have yet to film the scenes and make sure it fits with the brief.

Next week I need to experiment more with analogue work as well as focus on finding my way to my final idea.
