I really enjoy drawing, and experimenting with different materials. Although I have not worked with media (photoshop, photography, videos, etc.) as much as I would've liked in previous years. So I'm hoping to experiment and stretch my skills as much as possible during the next project.
However, through the drawing program I now understand that drawing encompasses a lot more than I previously thought.
Through the rationale I understand that the Drawing programme or just drawing in general is an can so much more than I previously thought. It has opened up new possibilities and opportunities for my ideas.
During the studio time, I have tried to focus on each of our tasks, by attempting to understand and develop different ways of going about each one. I particularly found the final Drawing Programme session to be quite interesting as I was confused and not used to the techniques we used, such as, lateral research. It's an interesting type of research that I might end up using quite a lot because inspiration can come from almost anything and everything.
So far, from the skills I have been introduced to, I have found that the perspective and composition skills have been the most useful to me this week as I was able to achieve a better day project with a better understanding of the aforementioned skills.
Next week, I need to better improve my note taking skills and take more in depth notes as I am working through and developing/distilling ideas. I also need to work on my divergent thinking, which means I need to be more open minded and aware of potential inspiration at any point in time.
Next week, I hope to do a better job at understanding the task. In order to achieve this, will attempt to ask more question to further my understanding of the brief.
